1. Who we are
The Office of Sangeet Sejpal, Hon. Trade Commissioner (Mauritius–India) under the Indian African Trade Council (IATC), is the data controller for personal data submitted via this website.
2. What we collect
When you subscribe to trade briefings we collect your email address, optional name, and your selected briefing preferences. When you use the WhatsApp assistant we process the messages you submit solely to draft an outbound communication.
3. Lawful basis
Briefing subscriptions are processed on the basis of your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Correspondence is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
4. Sharing
We use processors to deliver this service (email delivery and AI drafting). We do not sell personal data and do not transfer it for marketing purposes outside the Office.
5. Retention
Subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Assistant transcripts are not persisted server-side beyond the active session.
6. Your rights
You may access, correct, export, restrict, or erase your data, and withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in any briefing email or by writing to office@sangeetsejpal.com.
